Ross Freddie Ray is a British Choreographer whose ballets have been performed across the world. At the age of 28 Ross already boasts an impressive CV with 24 original choreographies in his repertoire. Ranging from Solo and Pas De Deux works to full length ballet productions. Ross’s work has been performed in 14 countries, 30 cities and in 38 theatres across the world. Ross also has a passion for dance film and has so far choreographed 5 dance films amassing over 5 million views online.

'All I want is to be able to do this for the rest of my life' - Ross Freddie Ray

Whilst at The Royal Ballet School Ross discovered his passion for Choreography and went on to choreograph his first ever ballet 'Fraudulent Smile' at the age of 17. It was later picked to be performed at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden after winning first prize in the Ursula Moreton competition and has since been performed across the world most famously in theaters such as - London Palladium, Mariinsky Theatre St Petersburg and Arcimboldi theatre in Milan. In summer of 2019 Fraudulent Smile toured Italy and Israel. Ross Choreographed his first full length ballet ‘Little Red and The Wolf’ which premiered in Moscow December 2019 to 5 sold out shows.  His choreography ‘In Your Room’ to music by Depeche Mode, Directed by Anton Corbjn collected over 2 million views online.  Ross’s most recently staged work is a new 1 act ballet ‘C H R O N O S’ which premiered in Barcelona on the 22nd of April 2023 and will be touring Spain In the 2023/2024 season.  
On the 15th of May 2023 Ross released his dance film 'CONSUMED'  in collaboration with Ars, Gratia, Regalia.

ABOUT

Born in Lancashire, England; Ross Freddie Ray trained at The Hammond School of Performing Arts between the ages of 10-13, where he followed a multidisciplinary program of Ballet, Musical Theatre, Drama, Tap and Jazz. At the age of 13 whilst auditioning for the Royal Ballet associate program he was offered a fully funded position at the The Royal Ballet School where he continues his education until he was 19. After receiving a contract from the National Opera House of Romania he left school in April of 2014 to begin his professional career. 
He performed in  a number of classical and Neo Classical productions such as ‘Swan Lake’, ‘Bolero’, ‘Giselle’, ‘The Dream’, ‘La Fille Mal Gardee’,’Classical Symphony’,’Sacre du Printemps’, ‘Opus 73’ and many more.
Ross found his passion in narrative roles & productions. He performed the roles of ‘Tybalt’ and ‘Lord Capulet’ in two separate productions of ‘Romeo & Juliet’, he also played ‘High Brahmin’ in La Bayadere. 
 
Ross stopped dancing in 2017 after just 3 seasons as a professional ballet dancer to focus on his choreographic works.
